Sridhar has been visiting and traveling throughout India since 1980 and enjoys personal relationships with some of the most revered teachers from the East and West. His deep, unparalleled association with these saints allows you access that many Western visitors do not have!
It is a profound honor to be joined on our path by Maharaj Radhanath Swami, Puja Swami Chidanand Saraswati, Puja Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, Indrayumna Swami, and many others. Kirtan musicians and yoga teachers will join us along the way, including the Kirtaniyas, Raghunath Das, Gaura Vani, Sita Devi Dasi, and more.
Join us on a sacred, transformative journey to India, the Divine Motherland, for the Awaken Your Heart Yatra Retreat. This sacred pilgrimage is an experience we are thrilled to co-create with you! Our intimate group will embark on a spiritual adventure to some of India's most enchanting locations, including Mumbai, Govardhan Ecovillage, and the beautiful mountains of Rishikesh in the Himalayas.
We will begin our journey in the vibrant city of Mumbai, Maharashtra, where we will explore local temples such as the Radha Gopinath Temple, Shiva Baulnath, and Laxmi Narayan temples. We'll also enjoy shopping and delicious dinners at vegetarian restaurants.
Our spiritual destination will be to find solace at the Govardhan Eco Village (GEV), HH Radhanath Swami’s majestic spiritual sanctuary. This award-winning eco-ashram, nestled in nature, beautifully blends Bhakti and sustainability. Here, we'll immerse ourselves in the wisdom of the Vedic tradition through kirtan, seva, and profound reflections. We'll allow the divine energy of this sacred land to uplift and transform us, and indulge in the award-winning Ayurveda wellness spa center.
Our final stop is Rishikesh, nestled in the serene foothills of the Himalayas. Here, we will attend the world-famous International Yoga Festival, hosted by the Parmarth Nikatan ashram. This extraordinary event offers an unparalleled opportunity to deepen our understanding and practice of yoga through a diverse program featuring profound insights from an esteemed roster of world-class yoga teachers, inspiring performances by talented musicians, and illuminating talks by luminary speakers. Prepare for an unforgettable experience that will nourish your mind, body, and spirit.
In Rishikesh, we will visit the holy waters of the Himalayan Ganga River for a ritual dip and ceremony led by a Pandit priest. We'll hike the mystical Neer Gaddu Waterfalls and visit revered sites like the iconic Beatles Ashram, Vashistha Cave, Baba Neem Karoli Ashram, and many other temples. Evenings will conclude with Kirtan or the Aarti at the renowned Parmarth Niketan ashram. We'll also savor delicious local vegetarian and vegan cuisine and enjoy many other adventures together!
